D L Nix

It is a very exciting time at the moment, there seems to be a buzz of opportunity in the air, do you feel it too? I am not a blogger but I will post things when there is something interesting to say. (I tend to subscribe to everything so I know what a cluttered inbox looks like). I am going to aim for a monthly update.

You never really know what is around the corner but I am an optimist. There is always so much inspiration around that I have filled many notebooks with ideas. I am Married and have been for 11 and a half years, I have 3 children who are entering into teen-hood. I grew up in a small country town in the south west of WA; now I live in the Wheatbelt in an even smaller town. I have travelled, worked, not worked, ran my own business, dreamed big, dreamed small and through it all I have always enjoyed writing stories.

Parenting Chips - Tips and tricks

If you have a family and would like to share your experiences then I would love to hear about them if you would like to share. I am still working on the manuscript for the parenting chips book but I am always gathering more stories. There is a lovely group growing on Facebook filled with tips and games. I will let you know as the book progresses.

Finding Elara Series

The first book in the Finding Elara series - Elaras' Chosen welcomes you into the world of Elara. Living in this place presents many dangers and many opportunities in equal proportion. The magic that the young people are gifted with has been limited by the life that they led in their youth. People with darker intentions have found away to steal this magic and spread shadows across the land. Join Adonia in a quest to save her best friend from the shadows that snatched her away.

I have added a picture of the salt lake around the corner from my home. It is something that I find inspirational because of the sheer vastness it presents. There is temptation to walk across the inviting white of the lake, but there are hidden dangers in everything beautiful. What are your thoughts?

I look forward to keeping in touch.
