Legacies series 1

There is a diverse cast of characters in this series and it is ideal if you have watched the previous two shows (The vampire diaries and the originals) before watching this one but it does hold as a stand alone very well. One of the main characters, Hope Michaelson is a tribrid, witch, were and vampire.

Now the vampires in this universe cannot go into the daylight unless they have a daylight ring, the were's are forced to change on the full moon and witches channel their powers through different means depending on the type of witch that they are. I like that there are some solid rules to start with, but those rules can always be bent, or in some cases broken completely.

The story is set in a supernatural school in mystic falls. As this is a whole series there are episodes that they play on the interaction between the supers and the normal kids at the local high school and with the community as a whole but the series is centered on the kids within the school the teachers and principal.

The overarching story line is artfully threaded throughout the story and well executed at in the last 2 episodes.

I really enjoyed it and give it 4 and a half stakes definitely worth the watch.
