I am not very active on her since starting my publishing Company, Bushland Castle Productions, but sometime people still stumble in and sign up to my newsletter. I cannot guarantee it is going to get any better. If you would like more frequent updates then please check out my Company site.

You will see on there that our first series has started releasing into the wode world! THere are 14 books in total in the Otherworldly Emergence Series and my book is number 8. That wasn't really a choice, we selected the order of books mostly at random. I have submitted for the Origins series and will be number 5 for that one. It is the superior number after all.

It is Called The Final Crone ...

For those who have followed for a while you will know that I have several manuscripts under my belt but I have never crossed the line to publication. There was a small glimmer of hope when I almost got an agent in 2018, but other than that I have written and rewritten and rewritten. Added a new thing here ant there, then rewrote that over and over again. So I put my money where my mouth was.

What I knew about my writing before I started BCP:

• I knew that I needed a structured timeline to get the book finished.

• I knew that I get distracted easily (any tbh that has become more prominent with time. I am trying to work on that.

• I need rules to follow

• Rewards don't always work unless the consequences are serious.

What I learnt during the writing process:

• For this story, the pressure of being published felt like a crushing weight at times.

• It is not cheap (I already knew that, but it's a hard pill to swallow)

• I needed to write in a linear fashion. (There were about 7 versions before I found the one that would work for me)

• I needed an actual accountability buddy that would listen to my story on a regular basis without judging. It was true accountability. I chapter swapped with my daughter who wrote book 10 in the series

• I need to trust myself and my experience more.

• You have to trust the process at some point.

• Holding your book in your hands for the first time is a beautiful thing.

I will try and come back more often. I did leave this open for a reason, This is about my journey and not the companies journey although that is a big part of what I do on a daily basis.
